What is the consigned card?
It is a credit card linked to your INSS benefit. The minimum invoice amount is automatically deducted from the benefit each month, which facilitates approval and reduces default risk. You have a credit limit available to use when needed, and the invoice varies according to your usage.
What is the difference between RMC and RCC?
The RMC (Cartão de Crédito Consignado) uses a margin of up to 5% of the benefit. The RCC (Cartão Consignado de Benefício) has a separate and independent margin, also up to 5%. You can have both at the same time — in that case, the total deduction can reach 10% of the benefit.
What is the card limit and how much can I withdraw?
The maximum limit is 1.6 times your monthly benefit amount. Of this limit, up to 70% can be withdrawn in cash via the app or ATM at any time. Withdrawals are installment-based and incur interest — reserve them for emergencies.
What is the difference between the consigned card and the consigned loan?
With a consigned loan, you receive a fixed amount at once and pay equal monthly installments with a defined term — no card or revolving credit. With the consigned card, you have a credit limit available to use when needed, the invoice varies according to usage, and the deduction covers only the mandatory minimum.
Does the consigned card have an annual fee?
No. Charging annual or monthly fees is prohibited by law. If you receive any such charge, it is irregular and must be immediately contested with the issuing institution or the Ombudsman.
What insurance is included with the card?
The card includes life insurance and funeral assistance, each worth R$ 2,000, at no additional cost to the beneficiary. These insurances are free by legal obligation — any charge for them is undue.
What is the interest rate cap for the consigned card?
The interest rate cap is set by the CNPS (National Social Security Council). Unlike regular cards, where each bank sets its own rate, with the consigned card you never pay more than the legally permitted limit.
Does the automatic deduction pay off my entire invoice?
No. The automatic deduction covers only the mandatory minimum of the invoice. Any remaining balance enters the revolving credit and accrues interest. Therefore, whenever possible, pay the full balance on the due date — this is the best way to avoid debt accumulation.
How can I block the card?
You can block the card at any time through the Meu INSS app or in person at an agency. Blocking is free and can be done to protect yourself from fraud or if you no longer wish to use the card.
Does the consigned card offer discounts at pharmacies?
Yes. Affiliated pharmacy chains are required to offer discounts on medications to consigned card holders. Just present the card at the time of purchase. This is an advantage that is rarely available with regular cards.
